How far out do I need to book my session?

My weekends are very popular and I only take on a limited number of sessions, if you are after a weekend spot I suggest booking in as soon as possible. For newborns the earlier the better, due to the unpredictability of birth I only take on a certain number of newborn sessions per month. So the sooner the better to avoid missing out. In saying that, if bubs is already here, reach out, I may be able to fit you in. 

When is the best time to book a maternity session? 

Between 33-36 weeks. 

When is the best time for a newborn session?

Usually the best time is in the first 14 days, as bubs is generally still sleepy, it also means you capture the true teeny tininess of them as a fresh newborn. I always suggest you get in contact with me as soon as you can after your little one is here and we can arrange a time for your session.

When can I expect to receive my photos? 

Generally I take 4 weeks to return a complete gallery to you.

I have never had professional photos taken before, I'm worried about feeling awkward.

It is completely normal to feel this way, you are doing something different and outside of your comfort zone. I promise you though that I will guide you every step of the way and make our session relaxed and fun filled. My clients always tell me how relaxed they feel by the end of the session. I am a bit of a goofball and like to have fun.

I am worried my kids will muck around and that it will be hard to get nice photos of them. 

Ahh yes I totally get it, I have 3 kids and regularly take photos of them, so I know lots of little tricks to get them to play along. Plus my sessions are super relaxed and we will follow the lead of the kids. I tend to keep things moving quickly in order to keep everyone engaged and interested. I also bring a few things along with me to help out.
